Oh, boy. Are you in for it now!! LOL. You’ve heard me talk throughout the years of the joys and heartbreaks of being a military family during the course of two looooooong wars. But are you ready to read about it, up close and personal? I warn you, you’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll snort strange food items out your nose (or so many, many hundreds of reader letters have told me.)
One radio host compared me to a modern Erma Bombeck and one TV host asked me how I could be so stupid about that lawnmower. Sigh. Candor catchs some people off guard when they are too acustomed to searching for deception. Trust me: nobody could look worse in this book than I do — at one point I commit the worst of all sins.
Yes. I really do it. I ask “how hard can this be?”
You’re moaning already, aren’t you?
But if you are part of a military family or know a military family, shoot them this way. They’ll know they aren’t alone. They’ll have someone to laugh at who is having a much harder time keeping it all together. It’s cathartic to laugh so hard you cry.
Or so they tell me. 🙂
